Verses to Know God

For a sermon on Jonah 3, Can I Get A Witness?, we concluded that God desires the lost to be saved. As His child, He has called you to be a witness for Him. This can be intimidating and honestly scary if we look at evangelism incorrectly. Evangelism is simply what I call every day outreach.

God has called us to engage in everyday outreach. Going to the places we go naturally. Interacting with the people we naturally interact with. Living each day with gospel-intentionality. Everyday outreach is fun because we know that God does the saving. He simply asks us to bring His Word - His gospel because it is the power unto salvation.

Will you as His follower bring His Word to the lost? How? Two easy ways: First, invite them to church. Walking into a church you don't know is intimidating, but coming to a service with a friend is always easier.

Second, give them God's Word by getting them into the Bible. Here is a document that you can easily share with people: "Check it Out" It provides 31 passages for 31 days of getting to know God and what a relationship with Him all about. All you need to do is hand it off and follow up with the person you give it to.

Imagine what God will do when you bring His Word to a lost person and people just like Jonah did.
